Charity
Charity, as an organised form of helping those in need, began with Christians. The nation of Australia rapidly developed. As it did, there were inevitably people in genuine need of help. Christians were the first to organise and meet those needs. Today, many of Australia's charitiable institutions remain Christian.
Whereever you might be in Australia, it is certain there are charitable institutions working hard to help people in your community.
Some of Australia's charitable institutions are:
- World Vision
- The Salvation Arm
- St. Vincent de Paul (Vinnies)
- Baptist Community Services
- Uniting Care Australia
